The Homestead Homeschool, its operators, owners, as well as paid and volunteer staff shall not be held liable for the accuracy of the website or for information which may or is provided by a third party.

- The Homestead Homeschool attendee information will not be disclosed to any third party, other than appropriate authorities, if legally required to do so. We will not sell, share, or rent your personal information to any third party. Any emails sent by The Homestead Homeschool will only be in connection with either the current or future The Homestead Homeschool events.
Media Access
- The Homestead Homeschool is a private event for ticket holders, approved vendors, presenters, and paid or volunteer staff. The Homestead Homeschool is not “open to the public.” No media outlets or media representatives will be allowed to attend, record, or report on the event without the expressed written consent and approval by The Homestead Homeschool operators. Any such violation will result in expulsion (even if that media representative is a ticket holder) and will be subject to legal action and monetary awards for violation of attendee right to privacy.*
Event Venues Policies
The Homestead Homeschool will take place at the Vinton County Fairgrounds. This is a private entity and private property with its own specific set of policies, rules, and regulations that are separate from as well as in addition to any The Homestead Homeschool rules of attendance and participation. Click on the Vinton County Fairgrounds website to read the venue's terms of service to ensure you fully understand and agree to abide by them before purchasing a ticket to The Homestead Homeschool or securing lodging during the event.
The Homestead Homeschool Events Behavior Policies
- Parking only in designated areas as directed by The Homestead Homeschool staff. Designated handicap parking is for people with disabilities only and on a first come first serve basis.
- No pets other than certified guide dogs are permitted in event venue areas. Read each lodging provider's policies on pets before booking a tent or RV space, cabin, or room. The Vinton County Fairgrounds dog policy pertaining to the campground is detailed on the website linked to above.
- Children must be under adult supervision at all times.
- No littering.
- No reckless, illegal, or prohibited behavior at any The Homestead Homeschool event venue.
- Attendees must follow any direction given by event staff pertaining to rule following, parking, and behavior. Any failure to do so will result in being expelled from the event or the calling of law enforcement if necessary. Refunds will not be given in an attendee is expelled from the event. Refunds will not be given if any member of the attendee's family, party, or group choses to leave with them for any reason.
- Trespassing on the adjacent county property where piles or sand or gravel exist is strictly prohibited and dangerous. An Ohio child elsewhere in the state smothered to death when digging in similar piles several years ago. Any child or adult caught trespassing on this county property will immediately be ejected from the event and/or campground, without any refund given.
Refund Policy
- Unless the entire The Homestead Homeschool event is cancelled completely, no refunds will be given. We reserve the right to cancel the event at any time for any reason. There are no refunds due to “acts of God”, including but not limited to weather related events, such as hurricanes, tornadoes, flooding, rain, pandemics, etc. If you cannot or choose not to attend, for any reason, at any time, we will not refund payment.
- You can transfer your ticket to a third party.
- The Homestead Homeschool is not responsible for cancellations or non-appearances by speakers, vendors or exhibitors, and no refund will be given on account thereof.
Limitation of Liability, Waiver, Release and Indemnification Agreement for The Homestead Homeschool Event
- Purchase of an admission ticket and/or attendance at any The Homestead Homeschool event activity signifies my understanding and agreement to the terms set forth below.
- I acknowledge that participating in The Homestead Homeschool event may involve physical activity and present a risk of death, serious injury and property loss. The risks may include, without limitation, (a) acts or omissions of The Homestead Homeschool, Vinton County Fairgrounds, On Guard Defense Gun Range and Training Center, Raccoon Creek Outfitters, Countryside Stables, their respective directors, officers, employees, agents, independent contractors; (b) acts or omissions of other people, including, but not limited to, participants, volunteers, spectators, event sponsors, speakers, vendors and exhibitors; (c) weather; (d) natural conditions and hazards; (e) lack of hydration or food; and (f) contact with other participants at The Homestead Homeschool event.
- I hereby assume all of risks of participating in The Homestead Homeschool event.
- I represent that I am physically fit for participation in The Homestead Homeschool event.
- I agree to abide by any decision of the organizers and event hosts to any aspect of my participation in this event, including their decision to suspend my participation for any reason whatsoever.
- I hereby consent to receive medical treatment that may be deemed advisable in the event of injury, accident, and/or illness during The Homestead Homeschool event, with the full understanding and agreement that neither The Homestead Homeschool, Vinton County Fairgrounds, On Guard Defense Gun Range and Training Center, Racoon Creek Outfitters, or Countryside Stables undertakes to provide such treatment.
- I acknowledge that this Limitation of Liability, Waiver, Release and Indemnification Agreement will be relied upon by The Homestead Homeschool, and that The Homestead Homeschool would not sell me an admission ticket or allow me on the premises where The Homestead Homeschool event is being held without my acceptance of this Limitation of Liability, Waiver, Release and Indemnification Agreement.
- In consideration of The Homestead Homeschool selling me an admission ticket and permitting me to participate in The Homestead Homeschool event, for myself, my executors, administrators, heirs, next of kin, successors and assigns, I hereby:
(a) Waive, release, and discharge The Homestead Homeschool, Vinton County Fairground, their respective directors, officers, employee, agents and independent contractor, and all sponsors, vendors, speakers, exhibitors and volunteers, from any and all liability for my death, disability, personal injury, property damage, property theft, or actions of any kind which may hereafter occur in connection with me attending and participating in The Homestead Homeschool event, including traveling to and from The Homestead Homeschool event;
(b) Indemnify and hold harmless all entities or persons mentioned in this section from any and all liabilities or claims made by other individuals or entities as a result of my acts or omissions during The Homestead Homeschool event.
